A new cellular device and wireless service request form will debut April 1 in the IT Service Portal, removing the need for a PDF request.

The purchase of cellular service and devices still must be approved by an employee’s department, but the new online form automates the approval process.

“If you are requesting a new device or service, you don’t have to worry about securing approvals from your department — just fill out the form online, and automation takes care of the rest,” said Jamie Witter, director of IT Client Services for UAB IT.
