F1000 Prime has suggested readings from biology and life sciences journals recommended by faculty in those fields. F1000 Workspace is a citation management software product that is compatible with both Word and GoogleDocs.

Would you like your students to have access to anatomical or molecular models to study a particular organ? You are in luck! UAB Libraries is now using 3D printing technology to create and maintain a circulating collection of anatomical and molecular models suitable for use in an academic health sciences library collection. Models may be checked out and taken out of the library for study or classroom use.

Some research findings are presented at conferences, but are not published or have not been published yet. It is important to be aware of informally published research such as posters and papers so you do not duplicate effort. Two resources to search for informally published research are the databases: Embase and Scopus.

Mango Languages is an online language-learning program that teaches actual conversation skills for over 70 languages and includes medical Spanish. Mango Languages is free; UAB Libraries provides all licensed content and a mobile app is available.
