Hall Councils are student-led and supported groups comprised of residents living in the residence halls. All residents in a hall are automatically members of the corresponding Hall Council.
The main function of Hall Council is to develop and establish a communication link between the residents living within the residence halls and the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life. In addition hall council represent the community by:
- keeping the residents informed of residence hall, campus, and student government activities and issues;
- coordinating the planning and implementation of educational, social, cultural and recreational activities within the residence hall;
- assisting the Residence Life Coordinator in matters pertaining to the physical condition of the hall;
- encouraging concern for the quality of life and community development in the residence hall.
Every resident is encouraged to get involved in the Hall Council in their building!!
