We’re excited to welcome Ashley Carter to UAB Advancement! Ashley is joining us as a Data Analyst for UAB St. Vincent’s Foundation. In this role, she will collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and improve performance. She will also use various tools and techniques to transform raw data into meaningful information.
Ashley joins UAB with a decade of experience in healthcare, where she has served various roles, including as a Patient Encounter Specialist for the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation, Referral Coordinator for Ascension and Grandview, and Administrative Assistant of Clinical Excellence at Ascension St. Vincent’s. She joined the UAB St. Vincent's Foundation as a Data Analyst in May 2022.
She has a bachelor's degree in biology from UAB with a double minor in social psychology and chemistry. She also earned a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Phoenix. In 2023, she earned certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Originally from Selma, she has lived in Birmingham for nearly two decades. Ashley comes from a spirited family that includes two sisters, two brothers, and a niece and nephew. She loves superhero films and is passionate about all things Marvel.
