Congratulations to Christen Defnall for recently accepting the Prospect Research Analyst position.

In this role, Christen will conduct thorough research analysis to identify new suspects for both clinical and academic initiatives at UAB. She will also create comprehensive profiles to assist development officers and leaders with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.

Christen joined UAB Advancement in December 2023 as a Records Management Specialist. She graduated from UAB with a Bachelor of Arts in communications management with a double minor in political science and history.

Before UAB, she worked as an Event Manager at the Sheraton and Westin Birmingham Hotels. Most recently, she served as the Guest Services & Membership Supervisor at the Birmingham Zoo. She also completed an internship at Walt Disney World with the Disney College program during her time as a student.
