We’re thrilled to welcome Cy Leffingwell to UAB Advancement. Cy is joining us as an Alumni Officer for Engagement for the Alumni Affairs team. In this role, he will coordinate the UAB National Alumni Society scholarship program, organize events to facilitate student involvement, and advise and manage the Future Blazer Alumni program and Young Alumni Council.

Cy attended Mississippi State University where he studied Sports Administration with a business concentration. He earned an MBA from The University of Louisiana Monroe. Although new to Advancement, Cy has spent the last two years with UAB Athletics on the Fan Engagement and Marketing team, where he began as a Marketing Coordinator and was promoted to Assistant Director of Fan Engagement and Marketing after just one year.

Cy recently got married to his bride, Emma (see the Congrats section of the newsletter). The newlyweds moved to Fultondale into their first home together. They have an Australian Shephard named Riley. When Cy isn’t working, he loves to play golf and watch sports.
