Also joining UAB Advancement is Erin B. Clarkson, LMSW, MPH. As Manager for the Grateful Patient Program, Erin will be responsible for operationalizing and overseeing a comprehensive grateful patient program that will generate increased private gift support.

Erin is joining Advancement with almost a decade of UAB experience under her belt. She has served as a Patient Support Services Manager for the UAB PATH and HRTSA Clinics, faculty member for the School of Nursing, and Lead Social Worker in the HRTSA Clinic. Before UAB, she earned two master’s degrees—in social work and public health—from the University of South Carolina. Erin said she is excited to join the wonderful team in Advancement and to extend her program development experience as Manager of the Grateful Patient Program.

Erin lives in Birmingham with her husband and their two sons. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, exercising, reading, and all things outdoors.
