We’re excited to welcome Gerriann Fagan to UAB Advancement as the Assistant Director of Development for the UAB School of Nursing.

In this role, Gerriann works with School of Nursing alumni, faculty, staff and community contacts to build support and secure gifts and scholarships for the SON.

Prior to joining Advancement, Gerriann worked in the UAB Office of Learning & Development and HR, and most recently, served in the Office of International Faculty and Staff Immigration Services (IFSIS). Before UAB, she was an entrepreneur with an HR and Career Consulting Firm that served Alabama and national and international organizations.

Originally from Chicago, she earned a bachelor's in advertising from the University of Illinois, a master’s degree in industrial relations from the University of Minnesota, and a master’s in applied sociology from UAB in 2022.

Gerriann has lived in Birmingham for 30 years. She and her husband have two rescue dogs, Lolly and Lulu. When they aren’t at their home in Hoover, the four of them enjoy time at Smith Lake.
