Jalyn Reaves has joined UAB Advancement as the Corporate Giving Manager – Arts.

In this role, Jalyn will seek new funding opportunities, oversee budgeting, planning, and development for grants, and handle sponsorship requests for UAB Arts.

Jalyn’s connection to UAB runs deep as many of her family members are alumni.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Jalyn holds bachelor’s degrees in arts administration and communication sciences and disorders. She earned her Master of Arts in art administration at Florida State University. Jalyn has previously served as a grant researcher, gallery assistant, and interim gallery manager, and she has worked with other nonprofit arts organizations providing development services.

Jalyn is a proud aunt to Ryleigh, Ryan, and Marue, who, she said, make her life so much better. She is also a dog mom to her pitbull, Saint Chachee.

Jalyn said she is committed to serving arts organizations that educate their communities on the benefits of arts participation. She is excited to have joined UAB Arts and looks forward to providing our community with challenging and thoughtful art experiences.
