Congratulations to Jennifer Hassett, who recently accepted the Associate Director of Development position for the College of Arts and Sciences.

In this position, she will implement strategies to effectively solicit and close major and mid-level gifts for CAS. This includes working with the dean—as well as more than 300 faculty members across 19 departments—to help raise gifts that support philanthropic priorities.

Prior to joining CAS, Jennifer was an integral part of the Development Team at the UAB School of Nursing. She also served as the Director of Development at United Way of West Alabama for four years. With a decade of experience at the University of Alabama in various roles within the Advancement division, her most recent position was Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.

“We are excited about the significant experience that Jennifer brings to the position in creating and implementing strategies to cultivate meaningful relationships and secure gifts from alumni, donors, and volunteers,” said Associate Vice President for Development David Allen. “She did great a job in the School of Nursing and now will play an important role in the fundraising success of CAS.”
