Love is joining the Donor Relations and Engagement team as a stewardship writer. In this role, Joyanna will be responsible for creating annual stewardship reports, writing major gift acknowledgments on behalf of Tom Brannan and UAB President Ray Watts, M.D., and working with unit development teams to create digital stewardship campaigns in ThankView.

"Joyanna is a welcome addition to the Office of Donor Relations and Engagement," Senior Director of Advancement Communications Katie McDowell said. "An experienced writer and editor, Joyanna will help us show donors the impact of their gifts in innovative and impactful ways."

Love is an experienced editor indeed. Prior to coming to UAB, Love spent 12 years in the community news industry. She served as the managing editor for The Clanton Advertiser for the past three years.

She and her husband Jeremy celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary this year. The couple has lived in Chilton County, Alabama, for the past few years. To relax, Love enjoys reading, baking and one-on-one time with friends.
