We are pleased to share that Joyner Crane's title is now Assistant Director of Gift Administration and Data in the Office of Donor Relations. This title more accurately reflects his significant contributions and responsibilities within the Donor Relations and Engagement team.
Joyner ensures gift agreements comply with all relevant policies and laws and oversees the submission of resolution items for endowments and named spaces to the University of Alabama Board of Trustees. In the last year and a half, he has taken on additional responsibilities related to endowment reporting and data integrity.
“Joyner holds himself to a high standard and is diligent and thorough in his work. He's exactly the person we need to ensure our gift agreements and resolutions are in compliance,” Senior Director of Communications Katie McDowell said. “He has played an important role in improving our policies related to gift compliance and reporting, and I am grateful for his expertise in these areas. I am pleased his new title reflects the important work he does for UAB Advancement.
Sometimes referred to as Mr. UAB, Joyner is passionate about UAB and has been since he began as a student in 2014. He joined UAB Advancement in May 2017 as a student assistant and went full-time with Advancement in 2019. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management in 2018 and his MBA in 2024. Joyner’s new office is in 1270B.
