In this new role, Crane will manage the submission of resolution items for endowments and named spaces to the University of Alabama Board of Trustees, in addition to maintaining the campus space inventory and advancement-related reporting for university and Advancement leadership.

"Joyner has been an integral part of the donor relations team for the last three years," Senior Director of Advancement Communications Katie McDowell said. "He's thorough and diligent and brings a great attitude to the office each day. He will play an important role in improving our policies and processes to make them as effective and efficient as possible."

Crane’s passion for UAB began during his freshman year at UAB in 2014. In May 2017, he started working for the Donor Relations and Engagement team as a student assistant. In March 2019, Crane went full-time with the Office of Gift and Biographical Records as a records management specialist. One year later, Crane started as a stewardship communications specialist. He received his Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management in 2018 and is expected to graduate with an MBA later this year.
