We’re excited to welcome Senior Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences Julia Ann Starke to UAB Advancement. In this role, Julia Ann will serve as part of the Dean's Office Leadership Team and will partner with faculty and staff to build and manage a portfolio of major and principal gifts donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Julia Ann joins UAB with over a decade of fundraising experience that expands across the country. She began her career in Atlanta at Emory University and Georgia State University. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Director of Individual Giving at the Oakland Museum of California and Director of Development at the Oakland Symphony.
Originally from Montgomery, Julia Ann attended Auburn University, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She lived in the Bay Area for the past eight years and recently returned to Alabama with a husband and a son, due in March 2025.
