“She consistently works to raise the bar on making UAB look its best through events across our campus and beyond,” he said.

“The Events team has continued to diversify the types of events offered and to grow the scope of events to include areas such as the UA System, the UA System Board of Trustees, UAB President and Provost offices and the academic and medical sides of campus.

“Kay and her team are recognized not only by UAB, but the system office and the Board of Trustees for their professionalism and excellence,” Brannan said. “I am grateful for all that Kay does for UAB and the Office of Advancement and am pleased we were able to recognize her through this well-deserved promotion.”

Simon joined the Events team at UAB in 2012 and was promoted to director four and a half years ago.
