We are excited to share that Lee O’Neil has been promoted to Senior Director of Advancement Operations Support for the newly formed Advancement Operations Support (AOS) team.

Lee joined UAB Advancement in 2022 as Assistant Director of Advancement Information Services & Analytics where she provided support and expertise for our Advancement CRM, reviewed and implemented new and simplified processes, and bridged the gap between the AISA staff and functional teams.

“She is a perfect fit for this role because she’s already doing the job,” Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services Marylyn West said. “The needs in Advancement have evolved.  With the experience she brought with her to this role, she was a natural fit when we started reviewing the feedback from our Advancement colleagues and the Huron report regarding a more focused approach to service excellence.”

As Senior Director of Advancement Operations Support, Lee will lead the AOS team as it focuses on projects relating to processes, documentation, tier one system support, and strategies surrounding service levels and service expectations for Advancement tools and processes.

“People love working with her,” Marylyn added. Apart from her technical skills, Lee is fun to work with. Since joining Advancement in 2022, Lee has received numerous Advancement Applause recognitions.

“Lee has a lot of experience in varying roles within Advancement that make her a calm, thoughtful, and reliable advocate for both our functional staff and our technical offerings,” Marylyn said.
