We’re excited to welcome Prospect Research Analyst Letessia Penick to UAB Advancement.

In this role, she will conduct thorough research analysis to identify corporate and foundation partners for various clinical and academic initiatives at UAB. She will work closely with the Advancement Corporate and Foundation Relations Office to produce profiles and comprehensive lists of corporate and foundation suspects for fundraisers.

Letessia holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Auburn University. Her experience is in healthcare and pharmaceutical sales and non-profit development, including strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and securing funding to expand program reach and sustainability.

Most recently, she served as director at The Arc of Central Alabama with RecyclABILITY, which provides employment opportunities and training skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who are looking for competitive employment in the community.

Letessia is married and has three children. Her favorite color is yellow, and her favorite movie is The Lion King. In her free time, she enjoys reading, documentaries, board games, and volunteering in the community.
