Congratulations are in order to Mary Jane Gibson, who recently accepted the position of Associate Director of Development for the Heersink School of Medicine (HSOM ) development team after serving as the Corporate Development and Special Events Manager for the UAB O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2021.

As Associate Director of Development, Mary Jane will now focus on raising mid-level and major gifts from multiple donor groups and develop and implement fundraising strategies to help advance cancer care.

“Mary Jane’s success as the corporate and special events manager for UAB’s O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center for the past two years has prepared her well for this new opportunity, including working with community volunteers to surpass the $1 million mark with the most recent ArtBLINK,” said Lisa Roth, Senior Director of Development and Community Relations for the UAB O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center.
