Congratulations to Michael Wilson on his recent promotion to Associate Director of Development for the Collat School of Business.

“Michael has done an outstanding job of exceeding metric expectations by developing his portfolio and raising significantly more dollars,” Associate Vice President for Development David Allen said. “With over 20,000 living alumni from the Collat School of Business, of which a significant portion are high-net-worth prospects, Michael has shown the ability to maximize those fundraising opportunities and consistently meet the expectations of an Associate Director position.”

Michael has been Assistant Director of Development for the Collat School of Business since May 2022. During this time, he was consistent in securing major gifts, including five major gifts in MY23 and a $500k gift in MY24. He also increased his leadership responsibilities through building complex proposals and developing fundraising strategies for Accounting and Finance, Industrial Distribution, Student Success, Human Resources, and Marketing.

Michael’s career at UAB began in 2015 as an academic advisor, and he has also previously worked as a Development Officer in the UAB Honors College.
