Congratulations to Rebecca Rodamar who recently accepted the position of Program Manager – Gifts for the UAB School of Nursing. In her new role, Rebecca will be responsible for directing the financial and administrative operations for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations in the School of Nursing. She will ensure that the team maintains integrity of gift accounts and donor records.
Rebecca joined UAB Advancement in 2019 as a Prospect Research Analyst, where she diligently served for the last five years.
“We are so excited to welcome Rebecca to our team,” Project Manager for the School of Nursing Dean’s Office Jennifer Hassett said. “Rebecca has a proven track record of excellent customer service and relationship-building. Her attention to detail and project management skills makes her an ideal fit for this position.”
Before joining UAB, Rebecca worked in the Environmental/Greenspace area. She worked with non-profits Red Mountain Park and Ruffner Mountain. At Red Mountain, she led the team in opening and running the Adventure Activities area. During this experience, she witnessed the amazing impact Advancement can make. At Ruffner Mountain, she dabbled in a little of everything—from managing events and volunteers, to cleaning trails and fundraising.
Rebecca also recently completed a graduate certificate in Research Laboratory Management. She said she was drawn to the program because of the blend of business classes, research policy and protocol, and feels like the takeaways from her classes are highly transferrable.
One of her favorite parts about working on the Prospect Research Management team in Advancement was the people. She said she is thankful to join yet another wonderful team in the School of Nursing.
Congratulations, Rebecca!
