We’re so excited to welcome Savannah Barrentine to UAB Advancement! Savannah is joining us as the Assistant Director of Development in the School of Education and Human Sciences. In this role, she will work closely with Dean Teresa Doughty and Lisa Pritchett to develop strategic fundraising priorities and strategies for the school.

Savannah will use these strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. She will also re-engage alumni and create fundraising opportunities that will include School of Education faculty and staff.

Savannah graduated from Troy University with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. She went on to complete a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Jacksonville State University. She is currently pursuing an MBA.

While pursuing her master’s, Savannah was a graduate assistant in athletic training at JSU. During her time at the university, she fell in love with the development and fundraising world. After graduation, she relocated to Atlanta and became a nonprofit philanthropy coordinator for Kendra Scott.

Savannah and her husband, Landon, recently moved to Vestavia Hills. They are proud dog parents to their labradoodle, Coco. They enjoy playing in the yard with Coco and all things Atlanta Braves baseball.
