Congratulations to Stacey Cohen Roudebush who has joined Advancement as a full-time Program Coordinator I for Blazer Kitchen.
Stacey started as a part-time employee in the Emergency Assistance Program in May 2024.
In her new role, Stacey will provide direction to volunteers, making their service more meaningful to both the volunteers and Blazer Kitchen. She will also develop volunteer recognition and retention efforts, including starting a Lead Volunteer Program. Additionally, Stacey will engage with the community to increase partnerships for Blazer Kitchen.
“Stacey is incredibly personable and brings lots of enthusiasm to this position,” said UAB Benevolent Fund Manager Lisa Higginbotham. “On her first day, I overheard her calling volunteers by name and introducing volunteers to each other. We cannot wait to see where we are a year from now under her leadership!”
Stacey has nearly two decades of experience in project coordination and management. Most recently, she served as Director of Volunteers and Programs for Hand in Paw. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alabama and a Master of Arts from Golden Gate University.
“Stacey has a wealth of experience coordinating volunteers, from Hand in Paw to Kentuck to San Francisco Museum of Modern Art,” Lisa said. “We are excited for her to bring that level of expertise to Blazer Kitchen, where volunteers are essential for the day-to-day operations of getting food into the hands of people in need on our campus.”
Congratulations, Stacey!
