Congratulations to Taylor Mitchell who has recently been promoted to University Events Specialist Lead for the UAB Heersink School of Medicine.

Taylor joined UAB in 2022 as a University Events Specialist. She brought with her a wealth of experience in higher education, having previously served on different events teams at the University of Georgia, Auburn University, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Throughout her tenure as a Blazer, Taylor has consistently demonstrated excellence in planning events for the Heersink School of Medicine Dean’s Office.

“Taylor’s leadership skills will prove invaluable as the new Surgery Events Specialist joins the events team next month,” Assistant Vice President for Development Megann Bates Cain said. “Taylor has played a role in the dean’s office continued success, and we have no doubt that she will excel in her new role.”

Taylor’s direct supervisor Kay Simon said Taylor brings a level of organization and detail to her events that is invaluable to the teams she supports.

“Her promotion is a reflection of her commitment to the school of medicine, and we are confident that she will continue to make a significant impact,” Assistant Vice President for Development Megann Bates Cain said.
