    Description:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Project Manager II for the Office of Advancement. This position will oversee a broad range of project management and development functions for the Central Development Office, the Office of the Provost, and the Office of Student Affairs. This position will work with key advancement and university staff to identify giving opportunities and manage projects that will generate gifts from alumni, students, parents, and faculty to support scholarships, study abroad, undergraduate research, and other philanthropic priorities.

    Assistant Manager: Grateful Patient Program – The University of Alabama at Birmingham

    Description:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Assistant Manager for the Grateful Patient program to join the Heersink School of Medicine development office. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage faculty referral activity and connect the clinical faculty and the Development Office by introducing gift officers to clinical prospects when appropriate. This position will manage follow-up identification and qualification of referred grateful patients.

    Assistant Director of Development – Heersink School of Medicine

    Description:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Assistant Director of Development to join the Department of Medicine development team within the Heersink School of Medicine. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Development, the Assistant Director of Development will efficiently solicit and close a defined number of mid-level gifts (up to $25,000) within a specified timeframe in support of the Heersink School of Medicine. Expected outcomes include intentional meetings with unqualified and/or qualified prospects (alumni (including residents and fellows) and grateful patients) to build and maintain a portfolio of mid-to-high net worth prospects. There is also the expectation that the Assistant Director of Development will meet/exceed established metrics on an annual basis – including dollar, visit, solicitations, and proposals presented goals.

    Assistant Director of Development - School of Dentistry

    Description:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Assistant Director of Development for the School of Dentistry. The Assistant Director of Development is expected to efficiently solicit and close a defined number of mid-level and major gifts within a specified timeframe in support of the UAB School of Dentistry. Outcomes include intentional meetings with unqualified and/or qualified prospects to build and maintain a portfolio of mid-to-high net-worth prospects. This includes the expectation that the Assistant Director of Development will execute fundraising strategies to raise mid-level and major gifts in support of the UAB School of Dentistry. The Assistant Director is also expected to coordinate the alumni mentorship program, and School of Dentistry class reunions and execute the class reunion giving program. This position will report to the Director of Development. Lastly, the position is hybrid-eligible after the probationary period.

    Stewardship Manager

    Description:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Stewardship Manager for the Office of Advancement with the Donor Relations and Engagement team. This position is responsible for leading the institution’s stewardship and engagement efforts with a focus on top-level donors, including corporations and foundations. The employee will design and implement meaningful ways to show gratitude to donors, including but not limited to the creation of digital and print impact reports, PowerPoint presentations, written acknowledgments, and coordination of impact videos.

    University Events Specialist

    Description:

    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a University Events Specialist to support the Office of Advancement and the Heersink School of Medicine. This position will plan, coordinate, and execute professional and/or special events. This position determines the range and scope of event services to arrange a well-planned and executed event. The University Events Specialist may negotiate contractual agreements and ensure the terms of catering contracts are followed within budget guidelines. The position may plan, coordinate, publicize, and implement more than 40 events per year.
