Christina Blackmon is a two time graduate of University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a focus on Public Relations in 2007 and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in 2017. Christina has worked within the UAB Community for more than 13 years where she has gained experience in leadership, public speaking, recruitment, advising, project management and systems training. She currently works as the Education and Outreach Specialist in the UAB Office of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) where she manages media and communication efforts and develops training programs and materials for IRB staff, IRB board members and the UAB research community.

Christina serves on the UAB MPA Alumni Association Board as a member and the chair of the Engagement Committee.
