Vice President

Jacob Smith is Alabama Arise's Advancement and Operations Director. In this role, he develops growth and operations strategies for the organization while ensuring its work runs smoothly through financial management, fundraising strategy and human resources administration.

Jacob has over a decade of nonprofit experience in fundraising and program management. Prior to joining Alabama Arise as the Development Director, Jacob served as the Senior Director, Philanthropy and Research at Women's Foundation of Alabama and as the Assistant Director of Development at the YWCA Central Alabama.

Jacob is an Alabama native and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Auburn University. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys hiking, cooking and scoping out new restaurants in Birmingham.
