Engagement Committee Chair

Karen Parsons is a Relationship Consultant at Regions Financial Corporation working in Endowments and Foundations. In this role, Karen is committed to finding good and helping it grow. Working to serve non-profit clients by optimizing their investment policies and portfolio construction, as well as offering best practices to improve administrative elements for their organization.

Prior to joining Regions, Karen spent twelve years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. At UAB Karen worked on a grant-funded state initiative supporting local K-12 public schools before moving into development at the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Nursing. In development, Karen oversaw a broad range of philanthropic objectives including stewardship, donor relations, board relations, volunteer management, cultivation strategies, and event planning. Karen has a passion for philanthropic and community work.

Karen is an Alabama native and grew up in the Mobile area. Staying on the Gulf Coast, Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Global Marketing from the University of West Florida. After completing her undergraduate degree, Karen moved to Birmingham and earned her Master of Public Administration degree from UAB.

Karen and her husband enjoy spending time with their son and rescue dog.
