Research Interests

My research is centered on investigating resilience within Black families, as well as exploring protective factors that mitigate the adverse effects of the opportunity gap. Presently, I am working on creating a comprehensive model and scale to assess resilience within Black families, aiming to pinpoint culturally tailored protective factors utilized at the family level. Through this research, I aspire to gain deeper insights into the protective mechanisms that can effectively counteract the multitude of adversities Black individuals face.
