Research Interests

My research interests are generally centered around cognitive and socio-emotional development in children and adolescents. Currently, my research focuses on the relations between parenting styles and parental well-being in predicting anxiety and emotional well-being among adolescents with and without specific learning disabilities (SLD). I am also conducting cognitive and academic assessments for the Socio-Emotional Competencies (SEC) project at the STARS Lab. Through my research, I aim to provide a deeper understanding of the potential impacts of negative and positive parenting practices on the mental well-being of middle school students.
