Kristi Stringer (PhD 2017) is a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University in the City of New York
Her dissertation research focused on substance abuse stigma (in combination with HIV stigma) and its effects on HIV medication adherence and retention in HIV care.
She will be working with high-risk populations in New York City upon arrival and will join the Global Health Research Center of Central Asia (GHRCCA) in work focused on strengthening health systems and supporting the response to HIV in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan through a focus on health-related stigma.
