About Promotion

The Communications Team uses a variety of channels to publish content about CCTS. Chief among these are our website, the CCTS Digest, and our social media channels including Twitter and YouTube. Print is also used extensively (e.g., cards, flyers, posters, infographics, etc.). Below is an overview of our two primary channels, which also serve as CCTS “channels of record.”

CCTS Digest

CCTS Digest is a weekly e-newsletter with a readership of 5,500+. It hits our subscribers’ inboxes on Mondays at 6am. The deadline for content is Thursdays at 12:00 noon. Information is published at a time and with a frequency that best enables us to accommodate myriad requests and produce timely, meaningful, mission-relevant content for our readers (in other words, we do not prioritize items on a first come, first served basis). We use Constant Contact, an email marketing service, to design, develop, and deliver Digest. Any CCTS member is welcome to submit content to Digest.

CCTS Website

The CCTS website is our digital front door and serves many audiences, including our Partner Network institutions. Our goals are to inform, educate, engage, and establish our website as the authoritative resource for clinical and translational science information and opportunities throughout our region. Content, therefore, should be easy to find/navigate, accurate, concise and written in plain language. Promotion of CCTS activities should push to our website whenever possible.
