About the Program

Do you believe strongly that children need a top-quality education in their early years in order to be successful in life? If so, a MAEd in Elementary Education can help you learn the latest in instructional methods and how to serve the many diverse student populations of the 21st century.

To get started, we're going to teach you about reading education and the learning process, as well as how to find and analyze research in early childhood and elementary education. Next, you'll take required courses that cover topics such as the exceptional learner, curriculum development, pedagogy advocacy and collaboration, and analyzing children in school. Your elective options will include Cognitive Curriculum, Child Psychology, and Teaching in a Diverse Society. Best of all, we're going to give you both internship opportunities as well as access to professional-learning communities. That way, you can get the critically important real-world experience and occupational connections you need for success when it's time to hit the job market.
