About the Program

Do you see yourself in a leadership role at a university one day? Maybe you're already working in the field and want to accomplish even more. Or perhaps you have plans to enroll in a degree-seeking higher education graduate program. Whatever the case, our Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration is designed to help you achieve your goals.

So exactly how do we plan to help you succeed in higher education? Well, we’ve developed a four-course (12 credit hour) curriculum that focuses on building the skills necessary to be effective in a higher education role, including supporting students, programs, departments, and institutions. You’ll start off with required courses, including Administration of Higher Education, History of Higher Education, and Access and Equity in Higher Education. Then you'll select an elective course from several that cover the following topics: student development, strategic partnerships, organization, higher education law, and more.
