About the Program

The immune system is the body's defense in warding off disease, and we need researchers like you to know how to fortify it. In this program, you'll learn how knowledge of allergy, autoimmunity, cancer immunology, and neuroimmunology can prepare you for diverse career paths.

To give you the education you need for success, we brought together about 90 immunologists with a diverse range of research interests to form our program. In the beginning, you're going to do lab rotations that'll help you identify your research interests. Next, you'll do your core courses and module courses. After that, we'll give you access to theme-specific courses such as Lymphocyte Biology and Mucosal Immunology. Finally, before you graduate, you'll be a part of journal clubs, grant-writing courses, and more to give you the leg up you need for a career in research. You can even get travel funding for your research and training, as well as funds for your education via our training grant, one of the oldest in the country.
