- The UAB School of Public Health is home to the Magic City LGBTQ Health Studies Endowed Professorship, the first of its kind in the country focused on accessible and quality healthcare specifically for LGBTQ individuals.
- All students will participate in a service-learning in-person course led by UAB faculty and staff from Birmingham AIDS Outreach.

The LGBTQ Health and Wellbeing Service Learning course in the undergraduate certificate program will provide you with advanced learning opportunities to address LGBTQ inequities beyond medical care both in the Deep South and beyond. We offer a wide array of content areas to explore with elective courses in history, public health, gender studies, and sociology, so you can specialize your approach to LGBTQ health and wellbeing.
