About the Program
Are you interested in becoming a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN)? Gain valuable knowledge and skills in nutrition science available only to students enrolled in the BS in Biobehavioral Nutrition and Wellness program.
Prepare for entry into supervised practice and graduate programs in nutrition and wellness and earn valuable experience necessary for accreditation as an RDN. The comprehensive curriculum promotes effective communication, innovative leadership, and application of evidence-based practices to support quality health and well-being of individuals and communities. After earning both a BS in Biobehavioral Nutrition and Wellness (BNW) degree and the Nutrition and Dietetics Certificate, you are eligible to apply for an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited dietetic internship and graduate program, which leads to eligibility for the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing exam to become an RDN. This is the quickest pathway to become an RDN for undergraduate students.
