UAB’s Veteran Recruitment and Student Services actively seeks to assist veterans, service members, dependents, and survivors in capitalizing on military educational benefits and promote successful transition into an academic setting.

As a resource of UAB’s Alliance for LGBTQ Equality, SafeZONE seeks to advocate for LGBTQ equality and foster an environment where gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and straight students and employees are free to thrive on an academic, professional, and personal level within a community that is based on respect and dignity.

The Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is responsible for assessing complaints of discrimination, discriminatory harassment or retaliation based on a protected class status covered by law or UAB policy.
