Why did you choose UAB?
I chose UAB because they offer and amazing Kinesiology and Physical Therapy program. The campus also allowed me a safe environment while being near all the things Birmingham has to offer!
Why did you choose your major?
Physical Therapy has been my career goal forever, so when researching what degree I want I knew kinesiology was it. It lets me learn all about the human body and what is needed to get athletes back on the field in the future!
What is your favorite thing about the UAB School of Education?
The SOE is such a welcoming community, and it’s definitely my favorite thing! Everyone from teachers and advisors to students are just looking to help you succeed.
What class have you enjoyed the most so far at UAB?
My favorite class so far has been KIN 305, or motor development. It was such a hands on course, and Dr. Mowling is so engaging!
What is your favorite place to study on or off campus?
My favorite place to study is the corner on the second floor of the EEC, it has the best sunlight and the comfiest seating!
What piece of advice would you give a prospective UAB School of Education student?
Get involved, and get to know your teachers. Getting involved with professors and organizations is the best way to form and amazing support system!
What are your plans after you graduate from UAB?
I plan to attend physical therapy school (hopefully UAB) to get my doctorate.
