Saturday, September 16, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.- Postdocs at the Park

Bring your family and join your fellow postdocs for a fun day at Oak Mountain State Park. $5 per Adult, $2 per Child, Free for ages 3 & under. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and veggie burgers provided. Bring a side to share!

Sunday, September 17, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. - Grab & Go Breakfast

Breakfast will be in front of Lister Hill and Shelby.

Monday, September 18, 12 p.m.-1 p.m. - Living Well as a Junior Researcher

As you may have learned, life in academia can be tough. Join us to learn tips from experts for thriving as a junior researcher. The seminar will be in The Edge of Chaos and lunch will be served.

Tuesday, September 19, 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. - New Technologies in Biomedical Research

Microscopy, Bioinformatics, Nanoscience, OH MY! Come learn about the new technologies on UAB’s campus. The seminar will be in The Edge of Chaos and lunch will be served. You can take a tour of the Microscopy center Wednesday from 10-12. Sign up here.

Wednesday, September 20, 12 p.m.-1 p.m. - Post-Postdoc Life, Careers After Your Training

Because you can’t be a postdoc forever, come check out where you could go after you finish your training. The seminar will be in Shelby 1015 and lunch will be served.

Thursday, September 21, 12 p.m.-1 p.m. - Postdoc Appreciation Lunch

Bring your mentor and join us to thank you for all you do as a postdoc at UAB. Awards will be presented at 12:30 pm. This event will be in The Edge of Chaos and lunch will be served.
