Innovate Fellow
Christian Lopez Blanco is a Ph.D. candidate in Neuroengineering at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he explores the exciting potential of noninvasive neuromodulatory devices to boost cognition and motor performance. By pairing advanced bioelectronics with neuroscience, he aims to deepen our understanding of the brain and improve research methods across the field.
Inspired by the challenges people face in deciphering their own health information, Christian co-founded Curanostics, a consumer-focused platform designed to make medical records easier to access and understand. His academic passion for improving brain function naturally aligns with Curanostics’ mission of empowering individuals to stay informed and take charge of their healthcare decisions.
Christian’s work is all about bridging the gap between cutting-edge science and real-world application. Whether he’s in the lab experimenting with neuromodulatory prototypes or gathering user feedback on health data tools, he remains committed to driving innovation that benefits everyday people.
In his downtime, Christian can usually be found playing video games, hiking local trails or staring at his 3D printer to make sure nothing breaks.
