I am currently a sophomore Neuroscience major researching in Dr. Matthew Goldberg's lab in the Department of Neurology. My research interests are tailored to investigating deviations in gastrocnemius and soleus muscles in PINK1 (a gene known to make proteins that prevent mitochondrial disfunction in high stress) knockout rats compared to wild-type rats. I love to watch cricket, love to record a personal podcast (2 pair of brothers, check it out), and am an aspiring recreational/weekend/just-for-fun tennis player. I plan to go on to medical school once I finish my time at UAB to be seen where I end up!
