Research Interests
Dr. Paul's research interests primarily focus on neuromodulation in the setting of chronic pain. Paul has a particular interest in new and expanding indications for spinal cord stimulation and has participated in several national trials including the use of spinal cord stimulation in painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy amongst others. Paul is currently working with partners in Neurosurgery and Neurology investigating the physiologic mechanism behind spinal cord stimulation. He also holds additional interests in regional anesthesia and acute pain focusing on improving post-operative outcomes.
