Associate Director of Education Dr. Lee Ann Riesenberg reports that everyone who recently took the American Board of Medical Quality (AMBQ) exam passed.

Those taking and passing the exam include: 

            Robin Bush, M.D.

            Michael Gibson, M.D.

            Prentiss Lawson, M.D.

            Colton Marucci, M.D.

            Blake Norman, M.D.

            Danica Pruett, M.D.

"Since 2013, we have had 19 faculty members, 13 anesthesiology residents, one surgery resident, one medical education staff member, and three nurse practitioners pass the exam," said Dr. Riesenberg. "According to numerous sources, medical errors claim 250,000 to more than 400,000 lives per year, making medical errors the third leading cause of death in the United States. Increasingly, hospitals recognize that healthcare leaders need quality and patient safety training and credentials. Our department has recognized and responded to that pressing need."
