We held the annual Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine golf tournament Saturday, May 6th. Four teams competed in the scramble, and Sam Korbe's dominance of the event finally ended.

The team of Mark Powell, Roland Short, Perry Smith, and Winston Smith (son) squeaked out a victory with a final score of 63. The trophy commemorating this victory is being engraved and will soon be on display in the library. The weather was perfect, and we all had a great time playing golf together. We also raised some money for Lifebox charity: $200 from the golfers, which Dr. Gwen Boyd has generously agreed to match, for a total of $400.  

We plan to do this again next year, on the first Saturday in May. We also hope to grow the event if we can, so please mark your calendars for next year.
