Last November, the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine participated in the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness walk, raising more than $7,000.

This year, we are again participating, and though the team name is UAB Anesthesiology, we are open to anyone and everyone. This includes nurses, faculty, secretaries, residents, fellows, medical students, friends, neighbors, and anyone else who wants to join us.

We have set a goal of $5,000. Even if you don't want to walk in November with us, you are welcome to contribute to the cause by donating to our fund. Please contact me for more information.
