P3 EQUATE Network

The P3 EQUATE Network brings together investigators from UAB, Northwestern University, Ohio State University, University of Chapel Hill, and University of Pennsylvania, as well as pre- and post-doctoral trainees. The purpose of P3 EQUATE is to advance understanding of the factors underlying health disparities (e.g., social determinants of health), structural racism, and the related chronic stress in maternal and infant outcomes; to assess opportunities for improvement in delivery of care; and to evaluate factors that play a role, particularly in the disproportionate impact of maternal mortality and morbidity on Black women and those living in rural areas.
