Center for Women's Reproductive Health coordinates multicenter Health Equity Research Network grant

The Center for Women's Reproductive Health (CWRH) is honored to coordinate the multicenter Health Equity Research Network (HERN) on Disparities in Maternal-Infant Health Outcomes grant sponsored by the American Heart Association.

  1. Project setting: the project was carried out at gynecological and antenatal care units of major reference hospitals in the South West Region of Cameroon-Africa.
  2. Study Design: the study enrolled previously pregnant, sexually active women trying to conceive again for a minimum one year, as cases of infertile women and pregnant women as controls.
  3. Potential Impact: the study will contribute to filling the paucity of information on Cameroon’s sexually transmitted infection (STI) and infertility while striving at providing reliable information that can be used to improve the management of infertility with country data while advocating for a national STI screening program.
