Hafia (Saba) Alsharif, a doctoral student in the lab of Sushant Bhatnagar, Ph.D., recently won the Best Overall Presentation Award at the Boshell Diabetes Research Day program in Auburn, Alabama.

Program organizers provided ample time for attendees to network and to present their research abstracts during oral and poster sessions throughout the program.

Alsharif presented her research “Exploring the Metabolic Impact of Brain Angiogenesis Inhibitor 3 (BAI3) on Energy and Glucose Homeostasis”.

For the quality of research and presentation she received the award, including a certificate and a small cash award.
