The UAB Comprehensive Diabetes Center (UCDC) recently unveiled a wall display honoring the many generous donors who have propelled diabetes research at the center.
Located in the heart of the center, engraved donor names are surrounded by collaborative meetings, scientific breakthroughs, and the training of new diabetes professionals. The wall display has both a static and digital element, bringing together many mediums to create a cohesive installation.
Many included on the wall have supported the UCDC since its beginnings in 2008. The UCDC is grateful to each generous donor who has support diabetes research in hopes that a curative therapy is developed in Alabama.
Each name on the wall is a wonderful reminder that generosity, no matter how big or small, has the potential to create profound change. The hope is that this donor wall will serve as a constant reminder of the extraordinary impact we can collectively achieve when we come together to make a difference for diabetes research.
If you are inspired to give to the UCDC, know that you directly support our continuous research efforts to enhance the understanding and treatment of diabetes, including prediabetes, Type 1 diabetes, and Type 2 diabetes. Whether you give in honor of a loved one, colleague, or friend, the UCDC is grateful for your support.
