Biography
Dr. Edwards is a Professor of Emergency Medicine, and native of Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating from residency at the University of Louisville, he returned to UAB to assist in the development of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. He served as director of the residency from 2007-2019. He now serves as Vice Chair for Education, and Executive Vice Chair.
His academic interests include emergency orthopedics, resuscitation, medical education, simulation, and program development. He enjoys teaching and mentoring residents, and performs low-cost, poor-quality research reasonably well.
